Sexual Assault: Any type of unwanted physical (sexual) contact, usually but not always, of or with any sexual part of the body. Physical contact is “unwanted” if the victim did not legally consent to such contact, such assaying “no”, physically objecting, or being intoxicated or incapacitated to the point of being unable to consent.
Statutory Rape: Sexual activity with someone under the age of 18. There are also laws and penalties withage restrictions for sexual relations between a subordinate and a person of authority (teacher, priest, police, coach or tutor, guardian). Statutory rape charges are usually spurred by the parents of the victim, but are prosecuted by the State. The State can file charges even if the person underage 18 objects to the charges.
Rape or Date Rape: Forcible sex (whether or not during a voluntary social contact) where a person resists the sexual advances and actively does not consent. (Includes Sexual Assault - offensive sexual contact even if not sexual intercourse).
Sexual Assault: Sexual contact (of any kind) with another person without that person’s consent.
Prostitution, solicitation, pimp or pandering: Soliciting or engaging in any any sexual act for the payment of money or any consideration. It is illegal to arrange or profit from or even hire a prostitute.
